FAQ
How is Course Handicap calculated?
Course Handicap = Handicap Index × (Slope Rating ÷ 113) + (Course Rating − Par), rounded to the nearest whole number.
Why is my Course Handicap different from my Handicap Index?
Your Index is for a course of average difficulty. Harder courses and longer tees have higher slope and rating, so you get more strokes.
What is Playing Handicap?
Your Course Handicap times the allowance for the format, like 95% for individual stroke play or 90% for four-ball. At 100% they are the same.
What is a plus handicap?
A Handicap Index better than zero. Enter it with a + (like +1.5). Plus players give strokes back to the course.
