FAQ
How is a scramble team handicap calculated?
Sort the team from lowest to highest course handicap, take a percentage of each, and add them up. The calculator uses the USGA-recommended percentages by default.
What are the USGA scramble percentages?
2-person: 35% of the low and 15% of the high. 3-person: 20%, 15%, 10%. 4-person: 25%, 20%, 15%, 10%. Events can set their own.
Should I use Handicap Index or Course Handicap?
Use Course Handicap, the strokes you get on that course from those tees. You can find it on the course handicap chart or in your handicap app.
What about plus handicaps?
A plus handicap counts as a negative number, so it lowers the team handicap.
